Android launcher apps(Android Skins) have long been an integral part of the Android experience.If you don’t like the way your home screens look or act, you can simply download an app to change all of it. There is no doubt that Android launcher apps have a far more diverse set of features than any other genre of application and you can really do some amazing things with these apps.Let’s take a look at the best ones!

Home flow (Beta)
A New kind of android launcher.Flow home connects directly to everything that matters.It stylishly organises system notifications and social network streams into one feed.It allows you to navigate with just your thumb.The quick launch circle keeps your favourite apps down near your thumb.Its super fast search works the same way.What makes Flow Home tick? Well, the launcher plays the part of a "personal" home screen, one that's connected to your favourite social networks and uses the screen real estate to provide a dynamic content feed, built out of your Twitter, Tumblr, Feedly, Reddit, and Instagram profiles. One of the two initial home screens is reserved for the dynamic feed, which hosts a boxy layout that displays headlines inside what looks like a cross between Windows Phone's live tiles and a bunch of virtual sticky notes.
Lens Launcher
It gives you a whole new way to launch your applications. Think of this app as an app drawer on steroids, which it basically is. The Lens Launcher was one of the winners of the 2016 Android Experiments Events, and it uses a Graphical Fisheye Lens while you roam through your app drawer. The app also offers a number of customisation options, you can change the animation which is activated when you hold you finger on the display and scroll through apps, while you can also change the size of the icons themselves.The Lens Launcher currently holds a 4.1-star rating in the Google Play Store, but the app is still quite fresh. The app is completely free to use and the ads don’t seem to be in the mix here, which is great.Lens launcher gives you a unique way to launch apps.

HomeUX Pro
HomeUX walks that thin line with aplomb. It's a bit unique in the way it organises your home screen, but it remains simple and usable over the long run.Your HomeUX screen is divided between two distinct areas: the top is the Action Panel and the bottom is whatever folder you happen to be browsing. Swiping vertically switches folders, which in turn changes the background image and accent colour of the Action Panel. By default, you have one folder -All- which hosts all of your apps' icons. Below, you'll see that I've created two other folders -Less Used and Installed - which house their own apps (that I've chosen to remove from All in order not to overcrowd that).Swiping horizontally can be done on both the top Action Panel and the bottom folder. Let's focus on the latter for now. This gesture allows you to have multiple pages inside the same folder. For example, my Installed folder houses two other screens for a few widgets as seen below.

Yahoo! Aviate
Aviate started out as a launcher that stood out as very different. It was purchased by Yahoo a few years back, and has since then been tied into several of Yahoo's other products like News Digest. The new v3.0 update is the most significant update yet, and it will probably upset most long-time Aviate users. Spaces have been replaced by a feature called Smart Stream and the whole UI looks much more like a regular launcher.Smart Stream looks to be Yahoo's take on Google Now. It gives you various cards throughout the day based on your location and preferences. This is to the left of the main home screen, which is where Spaces used to be.The auto-categorised apps are still available to the right of the main screen, and the quick contact card is accessible with a swipe up. You can see the wallpaper behind the app collections now, rather than being a solid background. There are a ton of suggested wallpapers too.

Z Launcher
Z Launcher is a bit different. Instead of a customisable home screen where you place your app icons, it chooses them based on the ones you often open and you're most likely to need right now. Essentially, it adapts to your context. It has a few more tricks too, like scribbling the names of apps, contacts, and websites to launch them directly. In its new update, this scribble function is about to get a little more powerful.Scribbling now supports synonyms, so you can launch music apps by simply writing music. Spotify, Pandora, and even YouTube should appear in the list of options. Browser gives you Chrome. Email gives you Gmail. But Z Launcher's synonyms dictionary seems to be a bit limited for now. Twitter didn't suggest Fenix to me, even though the app was installed on my phone. Given that this is an experimental feature, it's clear that not all possible synonyms and third-party options are supported just yet.
