Is Hyper-loop the future of high speed Travel? Hyper-loop is a trade name given to the high speed transportation of passengers and goods in "Tubes".It is the registered trademark of the Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (Spacex)
Hyperloop one previously known as "Hyperloop technologies", is a united states company formed to explore Elon Musk's Hyperloop concept.
The company is currently building a short track of 3 km in the "Nevada" desert to test lightweight prototype hyperloop pods. Its publicly stated long-term goalis to deliver a fully operational hyperloop system by 2020
Recently,on May 11, 2016 hyperloop conducted the first live trial of hyperloop technology.
Following a solicitation for a seed investment round led Sherpa Ventures ,the company raised US$37 million in funding to support initial operations and the build of the 3 km test track in NevadaAs of June 2016, it was announced that they had raised more than US$90 million for the next round of expansion.Ultimately, the proposed track from Los Angeles to San Francisco is estimated to cost nearer to US$8 billion.
In early 2015, Hyperloop One announced plans to build a freight-oriented Hyperloop to cover the 367 km between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. In June 2016 the company announced a memorandum of understanding with the Summa Group and the Russian Government to construct a Hyperloop in Moscow.
The system uses electric propulsion to accelerate a passenger or cargo vehicle through a tube in a low pressure environment. The autonomous vehicle levitates slightly above the track and glides at faster-than-airline speeds over long distances. We eliminate direct emissions, noise, delay, weather concerns and pilot error. It’s the next mode of transportation.
There are some stats showing you some amazing graphical explanation of how much efficient and fast this technology is.
